Well I think that depends on the situation and which way you want to handle it. But usually just introduce yourself and kind of go from there. Even a short,"Hi, how are you?" starts the ball rolling. But the most important thing in any relationship or new friend, is to be genuine and honest from the start.

@LadyGrace yeah, sounds too easy
@Dan193 But isn't that what you want? Something easy and not complicated? Sometimes the simple approach is the best approach. At least try. 😉

@LadyGrace I mean too easy to be true 😂 Like u just come up to ppl and say hi how are u, and u make a friendship with them?
@Dan193 Oh. Duhhhhh 😂😂😂😂😂 I'm half awake today don't mind me haha

@LadyGrace it's ok, actually I've seen my granny do that before. Like in public transport or somewhere out, she just starts talking to other people. I wish I was confident like her too, or like u, you seem you are able to do it as well
@Dan193 Oh yeah I don't care. I just start talking to people like I did while ago when I went to get my tire fixed and everybody was so nice and friendly. Haha I guess you just have to get over being shy. In real life I'm a very private person and I really don't like to go out in crowds. I stayed in myself. I have a little bit of social anxiety. But then I can get up in church and sing in front of everybody a special song like I've done it a thousand times it doesn't bother me at all. I've done it plenty of times. But when I'm actually out in public in a big restaurant or grocery store, I keep to myself and like my privacy. But then if I wanted to I wouldn't be afraid to walk in a restaurant and as I'm going to my seat say hello to people like I've always known them haha I guess you know you just get used to it and get over your shyness. Don't worry about what people think. As long as you are sweet and kind to them they are very receptive. But when I'm home I'm constantly by myself and I like my company haha I could probably sit here by myself until I croak and it wouldn't bother me a bit. I'm more comfortable that way than being around people, yet I love everyone.

@LadyGrace This sounds amazing, I'll try to talk to starangers then, when out and about, even if I'll feel a really strong burning sensation on the inside. The way you spoke about it, was really inspiring, I hope I can hold the motivation till tomorrow.
Or I'll just come back and read your answer again. Thanks 🙂
@Dan193 You can do it honey. Or like you could just like go to Hardee's or something when there are a lot of people there for breakfast or afternoon and you'll end up sitting close to someone and just smile and say what a great day huh? Or just, how are you this morning? And that will just get it going. Remember, they are just human like you. There's nothing to be afraid of. You will see that it will come easier than you think. When you smile at people they really like that and are very receptive. But they've got the same flaws as anybody else so please don't be afraid. And I bet you 95% of them are as shy as you are and feel the same. They need you as much as you need them, so remember that. They may not show it but they do and that's why they are there because they are lonely. They could have eaten breakfast at home but they needed the company so just think how many people you will be helping by noticing them. So many people are lonely these days and you will walk away feeling really blessed I guarantee you. It's just a matter of change. People don't like change but once you do it that first time, you will feel comfortable and you will see it wasn't nearly as bad as you thought it might be. In fact I had to do it that way. I didn't like it, but I did it in spite of my fears and then it got more comfortable each time I went.

@LadyGrace thank you very much, so much encouragement, makes me feel that maybe I can really do it
@Dan193 You CAN, Dan. lol A little rhyme there. haha All you have to do is not think about it, Dan. You can drive yourself crazy over thinking about things and then that makes you anxious and nervous and then the next thing you know, fear has gripped you. Don't let that happen. Don't sabotage yourself. Just concentrate on how nice you look and and don't give yourself time to just sit and think about it, because you will talk yourself out of it. Think about how much fun and how refreshing it will be to see new faces and meet new people and you won't be alone anymore. Go for it, Dan! And then I want you to report back to me. lol That way you can't talk yourself out of it. Haha I am holding you accountable young man. 😂🤗🎉😃👏

@LadyGrace haha please do 😂
I will try it today. We have a holiday here today and there will be a big concert, so I'll go there. I'm hoping I could convince my cousin to come with me, if he is not busy, so maybe we could meet some girls 😂 Setting high expectations over here. I hope I won't feel disappointed by the end of the day. But if he wont come, I'll go anyway, it will be just twice as scarier, but I'll just try to keep your advices in mind and push myself to do it.
@Dan193 Taking your cousin with you, would be great any other time, but not this time. The whole purpose of this lesson is for you to face your fears alone. Don't freak. Just enjoy the sights and sounds and watching people. If you start feeling a little nervous that's okay. Take a little break and go to the concession stand and have a nice hot dog or something you really like and sit down and eat it and just concentrate on enjoying your meal and surroundings and the fresh air. What's the worst thing that could happen, really? You go up to someone and say hi and they say Hi and then walk away? No harm no foul. You just going to the next person. It will be no reflection on you if they turn away. Some people refuse to speak to strangers as they probably have been hurt and they have to learn to trust but if you never take a risk, you'll just stay stuck forever in the same place and we don't want to see that for you. You're not going to the dentist or the funeral home. You're just going out for a nice day in the fresh air. And you don't have to do it all day long. If you do it a few times and you decide you don't want to do it anymore for that day, Don't force yourself. Instead, be proud of yourself that you took that first step. Sometimes that first step always seems the hardest but once you do it, you will get over that hurdle. I'm rooting for you Dan. I know you can do this. Go for it! Dress up like a silly clown and make all the children laugh and have fun. They would love it and you could hide behind all that makeup and clothes just to get you acclimated to something new in a new atmosphere. Just to break the ice. It's just something that makes it a little more fun. Not so stressful. I'll be waiting on that report! 🤓😂😂😂🤗🎈
