Why haven’t they messaged me back? Should I give up? I don’t wanna keep texting and texting.

One of my co workers asked me if I wanted to go to a Christian event (which is today) and I said yes and give them a call or text. I have her my number. She didn’t respond. I texted her last night if she gotten my number but no response. Probably because she was busy with things and precious kids and she goes to school so it’s understandable. I’m not even sure if they’re still going so I woke up this morning I still didn’t get a text or I’ll call from her. I texted her again because I was afraid of calling her I’m waiting for a response and it’s been five minutes. The even starts in an hour. What should I do?
