Can a child have mental/physical problems in the future if he/she is not given mother's milk at birth?

NangiUniverse · 31-35, M
Well, the child could be offered other breastfeeding mom's milk. However, I don't know if it might have the same positive impact as your own biological mother's milk.

Those too could be a possibility, @ABCDEF7 .

@NangiUniverse How? There is limited amount of Colostrum and Transitional milk that a woman produce immediately after delivery, which her own child would also require.

@ABCDEF7 there is another factor, it was discovered that there is an actual interaction between the breast and the child. when a child breastfeeds some of his saliva goes into the breast an then the milk produced will be different and adapted to the bacteria and other environmental things found in the saliva of the baby and will make his immune system more adapted to his specific environment.
reflectingmonkey · 51-55, M
short answer : yes. but this doesn't mean that if someone is not breastfed they WILL be sick, but statistically breastfed people tend to be more healthy.

Many say yes. It's necessary for a baby for it's health. However i am not sure if baby can survive and be healthy without mother's milk.
