Are you a Coke or Pepsi person?

@SW-User for real,when im at home and i askfor coke my dad always serves it with ice and a thick lemon slice. i love it when the coke starts to mix with the flavour of the lemon slice

@PepsiColaP I've never tried it with a lemon slice but I do like a lemon in just ordinary ice water (lime juice is good too) ... actually I think some sort(s) of citrus are in the actual Coke formula if I recall correctly.

I wish I could try a cola (and root beer) devoid of any sweetener (natural or artificial), any artificial coloring, and possibly without any carbonation. I'd at least like to see what it's like, since I already like bitter and unsweetened things in general, and soft drinks are not something I drink a lot of in current form (any sweetener, natural or synthetic, has its health downsides obviously). And then maybe from that base maybe experiment with some textural addition like gomme syrup (but damn, syrup already implies sweetness). I'd just basically like to have cola and root beer without any negative impact.

@SW-User same ,haha . i am actually worried about how much artificial sugar i consume,not that it stops me lol. but if i wasnt scared of calories id prefer the classic too over the artificial diet/zero etc. but thats an interesting thought. i feel like the carbonarion missing would be a kill though haha ,you ever had flat coke? gross

@PepsiColaP the Lime Coke I was only ever able to try as a "Diet" version, I think a regular version existed too but I never saw it ... so I never drank a lot of it either, just occasionally. I like Classic too but I think the Vanilla (non-artificial sweetener) is just a wee bit better. I'm sure I've had a flat Coke but I really can't remember it lol ... but I like bitter things without carbonation like gin and dry vermouth, and would like to taste unsweetened amaro if such a thing exists, so in my mind it just seems like I would really like unsweetened sodas, and occasionally carbonation can give one woes too, so maybe I could live without that too, maybe not. But regardless of the bubbles or sweetness, adding artificial coloring just to make it dark strikes me as daft as adding the same to cool climate whisky to make it look like warm climate whiskey, when the hue doesn't affect the flavor at all.
