What do you do on a hot day?

I've currently been indoors with the dog since our hour long walk this morning.
I did take him for a w** at lunch time, and he p**ped too.
After I took the hot water bottle out the freezer, he came over l*cking it.
Then wanted to b*te it so I told him no.
I put it on my stomach to show him and then tried to put it near his stomach and he got scared.
I was holding it for a bit and he started to lower his ears and tuck his tail like he was anxious.

I'm not exactly sure what exactly I could have done but how he's sitting in the hallway away from me...
Since he decided he wanted to make comfy on my bed which he knows he's not allowed to do.

Have you tried giving him ice in his water dish?

I stay inside more on hot days or go find some water to play in. The dog I’m babysitting lives his walks but even he prefers to be inside where it’s cool. If it’s too hot he won’t even go out to play with me.

@nonsensiclesnail he's been having ice but he eats some of it then walks it around my flat so I've given up on his behaviour.
I gave him some treats and he's letting me rub his back again. But I don't really get him. He gets anxious over things I wouldn't even think he would and I just feel helpless.

Anyways on warm days I try to spend outdoors doing chorse or running around.

On actualy hot hot days, I tend to sweat like a wh0re in church

What do I do?
I don't have AC so I wear as little as possible, avoid cooking, drink cold drinks and wait until 3am to sleep.
