Do you like sardines? What do they taste like?

I've never tried them before. And I like trying new things, so I'll probably get some soon just to see what they taste like

I do like then, especially when packed in mustard. I can't compare their taste to anything, but it's a rich, heavier taste. I've always eaten them on crackers.

@Ontheroad Just the tins in oil: squeeze out the oil, and serve them on hot toast. The food of Kings!

@CharlesRomsey Agree, I take mine out of the tin, lay them on a few thicknesses of paper towels, then put on crackers. The ones that have mustard added to the oil just give it a bit of zing. I eat them on crackers mainly because that's the way my dad ate them... I'll have to try them on toast.

@Ontheroad For me, it's a great breakfast food: there is so much goodness in there that keeps you going for the remainder of the morning.
