Since when is being honest or telling the truth a crime?

Especially when someone asked you to be honest or tell the truth, you give it to them and they get upset and angry! Dude YOU’RE the one that asked so don’t ask and get angry if that’s not what you want or hear. I’m not going to tell you what you want to hear. If you asked for the truth, I’M 👏🏻 GOING 👏🏻 TO 👏🏻 TELL 👏🏻 THE 👏🏻 TRUTH 👏🏻!
But with tact. Be respectful.

Had a few people put me on the spot by asking me my opinion on their actions, which caused conflict or adversity with others as I remained quiet.

They said, 'whats your opinion, promise I won't get mad just tell me the truth'.
To which I reply, 'what do you want the truth or the glossed over version'.
They always pause before answering and say, 'tell me the truth, I won't get mad'.

In that way the decision to hear the truth is on them.

@eyeno That annoys me. When they say that, they don’t mean it most of the time. Unless people like us can handle the truth. If I didn’t wanna hear they shouldn’t have asked simple as that. They only want to hear their version of the truth. Just keep being blunt dude. I mean how else are we going to get anything done?
