I got a new laptop. I feel like a piece of crap though

My mom bought me it. She said it was to make up for years of bad birthdays where it didn't get a present. I hadnt really had a gift since my teens. We've had lots of financial problems growing up. I guess we almost lost the house a few times and back in 2017 our car got repossessed. I feel like crap because i could tell she was trying not to cry while telling me this.
