Why EV charging off the grid is different then everything running their AC at once.

If everyone in town turns on every water 💧 faucet and opens every fire hydrant all at once, it would deplete the water pressures off the water manes and there would be a water outages.

Everyone running AC in some area's has that same impact on the grid. However, at home EV charging which is commonly done at night uses the amount of electricity as a space heater at any given time which doesn't add up to the straight pull all at once of Everyone running AC.

EVs are also not constantly pulling off the grid while running on the road and they are not running a 24/7 pull off the grid like AC is.

It’s not that simple to evaluate AC load currents. Reactances, load currents versus line driving currents, cold load pickup, hysteresis issues with substation transformers, the lack of or availability of line capacitors, the effect on load regulators both downstream and upstream have effects on the total supply of AC sinusoidal power. Xl and Xc, series and parallel loads.

Build nuclear plants and that issue is solved.
