If you ever can, try cooking your rice in nothing but chicken broth. The broth should be a whole lot cheaper than soup.
Cook it long enough in lots of broth then you get risotto. Just a fancy Italian word for that. It's not hard to make though. Eat it right away. It spoils easy.
