If they are stuck together it’s due to inventory. If he separates them it throws it off.

Here it's done for different reasons and with millions of different products.

The deal here is single packs of anything are charged more. Where a double pack is charged less. If he separated it then he not only had an supply inventory problem yet also a inventory price difference on the books.

Not only product companies object to both yet so the government has a problem with it because of taxes and inventory stock.

The business are taxed on how much inventory it has, which has nothing to do with taxes at the cash register.

@DeWayfarer actually it would probably benefit the store to be sold separately and still make a little more , isn't the bottom line to make a Buck ?
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@FurryFace not by the corporate view. It behoves them to sell more. It's cheaper for them to sell in quantities. For you the customer are more likely to waste more.

You should really know this. It's why you where able to find perfectly good things things thrown away.

I do it still. It's how I get perfectly good and expensive steak, meats and food of all kinds.

Store profits matter little to them. And they put penalties on stores that don't follow suit.

Ever noticed that there are large variety packs? The corporations profit from what is not popular. And make certain the stores sell them. It's cheaper over all. For certain things cost less to make. Or they just simply run out and sell nothing.

I love cheese danish. Yet I can rarely ever find it just by itself. That's the corporations fault! Raspberry Danish is much cheaper to make.

So they make a variety pack and force you to buy it because it has only a couple of cheese danish. The rest are raspberry.

The corporations know that most will just throw the raspberry Danish away. So they make more money.

People always fall for that trick. Just to get those couple of cheese danish.

If they only made cheese danish the price would be off the roof. Nobody would buy it anymore than nothing but raspberry Danish.
