@Dino11 I have them too. different type feeder. I have finch fest twice a day where they are all over my porch. interacting and chasing others away. Have you seen how they go up in a spiral in an interaction with another. Straight up in the air in a twirling circle?

@atlantic59 That's just for water, have a 13# feeder.

@Dino11 yes, of course, that is excellent! I have hummingbirds that come and knock on the window if they're out of their stuff in their feeder. Had one come in the house last year and I was so lucky I was able to pick it up when it was down and show it to the door without hurting it I hope...I have at least three different coloured ones that have arrived this week

@atlantic59 I like those too...and feed them

@Dino11 I read once, so correct me if you know better, that hummingbirds hitch-hiked in the Canadian Geese down feathers,when they went south- like they snuggled into them. That can't be true right? With climate change a lot of geese aren't flying south. And with the pandemic there were probably lots of flying restrictions

@atlantic59 That I don't know..

@atlantic59 humming birds and geese do not get along together. The geese are not migrating because of man made open water. They don't need to travel so they don't. It has nothing to do with climate. The cooling ponds of generating stations etc provide year round access to water for geese and ducks.

@hippyjoe1955 okay, thanks for shooting down my ideas in the sky heading south
