If you could go back in time and choose the country you were born in, would you choose the same you did or another one?

I'd rather have been born in France. Better public transit, universal healthcare, cleaner air, and a generally more healthful food system.
Jenny1234 · 56-60, F
I would choose Switzerland

I've never felt like i belonged in US...so I'd say in Europe somewhere ...in a small villiage walking around barefoot making homemade bread

It would be France
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
Others might have been more interesting, but I wouldn't have had the same exposure and experiences growing up. They are a beautiful part of my past.

I would choose New Zealand. I just love this place!
I love the USA too and want to visit so many of the National and State Parks so that's what I intend to do.

I think so. I realise I’m so lucky to have been born in England (if for no reason than free healthcare via the NHS), that I don’t think I’d want to give that up.

It would be Canada .. The Annapolis Valley - for me the most beautifully sereal place in the world, & work in the city Nova Scotia.

spjennifer · 61-69, T
I'm an American who was born in Canada, I wouldn't change it!
MoonaNorth86 · 36-40, F
Do you have dual citizenship?@spjennifer
spjennifer · 61-69, T
@MoonaNorth86 Not any longer, when I joined the US Army as a Medic in the late 70's I was allowed to keep it for a while but when I became a USAF ParaRescue Jumper after GW1, it required a high security clearance so I had to give up the Canadian Citizenship. My Parents were Foreign Service serving in Ottawa Canada when I was born so I was allowed some concessions not available to others. Now that I'm retired I kind of regret it but can't really do anything about it.

Tough question. Norway is a good country to be in as a child/adolescent, but the states have a lot more variety hobby and work wise.
Eddiesolds · 61-69, M
I wish it could have been Australia or the USA
@Eddiesolds USA for me
Eddiesolds · 61-69, M

I'm content. The place isn't perfect, but it's better than most.

Isthisit · F

Sometimes i wonder if itd be nice to live in Canada .

But then....i realise im insulated from many of the world's problems, on a small island . Isolated , but also protected .

I deeply feel i got lucky as to where i was born. Ive had so many shitty things happen in my life ....but i live in a clean environment, with plenty of nature and organic, (or close to organic), farming , no war, no guns, no fighting in the streets.

So , id prolly choose the same.
Possibly France.
Jenny1234 · 56-60, F
@bijouxbroussard your name would fit perfectly in France
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
I love canada but I do not love the winters so I could choose a warmer climate that had the same benefits of canada.
