If I damage my instructors car will I have to pay for it

Last time I had my driving lesson I almost drove into a curb and my driving instructor said if the car gets damaged I'll have to pay for it

He sounds like a fraud.
Insurance will cover any damage unless he does not have insurance, then he would be operating illegally.
Do not worry over his words.

@Gusman Agree. And find anothr driving instructor.

He is full insured. And he should have dual controls to stop you doing things like this .take care and good luck

They should be insured for that eventuality.

@Lacemaker Agree. And it won't be judged as the learner driver's fault as they are under instruction, especially if it's a dual-control car.
Lacemaker · 41-45, F
@Fluffybull Yes, that's exactly what I thought. My cousin looked into being an instructor and, as you say, he would have had a specialised dual-control car and the insurance was car/profession specific.

Your driving instructor will have car insurance that covers him for learner drivers.
Don’t pay any $$$$ to him. He has insurance to cover things like that.
Hed should be insured for u and him
Depends where you are...

In the UK, you would be liable unless you can prove that the cause was either their negligence or the responsibility of a third party.
