I understand you still live under your dads roof and to respect his rules but your cousin has a point. You’re adult, don’t wait around for your dad and stop running to him for your problems and woman up! Just get a dog! Who cares if he doesn’t like it? You gotta bend the rules sometimes. You can’t be a follower. Your cousin is right, be your own damn person! Be an adult and stop waiting. Go after for what you want. If you pay the bills too, then you should go get one! Stop doing everything he does and be your own fucking person! Do it.

You ARE an adult, so please don't take the patronizing advice that follows in the wrong context:

Make your own decisions and do what you feel like doing as far as your relationship with your dad and your own living situation.

But please, don't put an innocent dog in jeapordy. He or she is an innocent and shouldn't suffer because of your bad choices or your father's.
