Why people reply to posts from trolls or people they don't like?

I mean...I try to ignore them, mute or block. I don't see the sense in telling someone how bad (s)he is. In the end, you can't do anything to avoid they come from time to time.

Because I have a temper and don't suffer obnoxious fools gladly. But I admit it is silly.

I see what you say and I understand that when someone is being mean, you want to set this person in his/her place but in the case of trolls, I don't see the need to feed them and in the case you don't like a question someone asked or a post, I don't see either the need to mess it up with dirty words or insults.
I don't know...perhaps I don't have blood or it's age.
