I do meet regularly with friends and family offline, and I spend time outdoors as much as I can..since the pandemic balance can be tough, but I think it's good to be in nature.

@SW-User totally agree!
Unfortunately, my business is based on selling through the internet, so I spend a lot of time on-line.
However, running an internet-based business vice surfing social media are two distinctly different things. Take business out of the equation and I probably spend less than a half-hour a day on social media.

My DIL keeps telling me I can order groceries and anything my little heart desires on the net... and so, basically run a large part of my life from my desktop... but no thanks... I'd rather pick out my own avocados in the produce section of the local market.

Well, I need internet for work. It becomes essential these days.

Multitasking, shopping, netflix. Basically the best technology I had experienced so far. I don't need tvs if I have small screen I can carry everywhere.

I even can rerun my favorite series with no worries about time. I don't to record it set timer like I were used to.

Paying bills much easier and convinient.

Online shopping is so awesome. I don't have to go out at all. I feel blessed learning this advanced technology.

But I still do workout every morning and evening to keep in shape. I think moderate is the key.

Waaaaay too much. But at lot of that time could be avoided by doing things the "old way".

Used to be you could just grab a flyer from the newspaper and head for the food store. Now you have to load an app, wait for the stupid phone to pull up the week's items, wade through several wrong window links before getting the right one, find the item you want, click on "load coupon", then double check your "my list". But then we STILL aren't done. When you shop, you have to click each item in your virtual basket as you put that actual item in your real basket - at least IF you want to get the discount.

tbh nowadays everything involves technology so your body can help you understand what the perfect balance is like not using screens late at night and early in the morning, blue light filters etc; this is why i do shopping and social media stuff on my phone and use the laptop only for studying and work normally bc i end up reading random blogs or watching stupid tv shows otherwise lol
SpoiledbratF
That's the norm now. Everything we do is on the internet.
Mellowgirl31-35, F
@Spoiledbrat once I start working again, I aim to be here even less than I currently am.
It's a great way to meet some really amazing people. But spend too much time here and it can get a little toxic at times.
I also enjoy the peace and quiet that comes from not having an online presence. Since that's effectively death!

I've also been ill. I just had a major surgery and am still recovering. I've been weak and ill for about a year. @Mellowgirl

@Spoiledbrat sorry to hear that

Dunno. A considerable chunk is spent both online & offline at the same time bc I'm such a multitasker 馃ゴ

It sounds as if you are being abit judgemental.
Mellowgirl31-35, F
@Isthisit not judgmental concerned.
The core of the person is good. But anxiety is not good for the body and brain long term.

99% of my life is offline. Granted I don't have much of a life but still.
A lot.
Work revolves round it.

@Stereoguy I really am happy to hear you have that at the very least. It's essential for our wellbeing, especially under your circumstances.
