If that's the case, why are we just now hearing that these scientists scurried around to come up with something? And why are people just now becoming aware of the term "coronavirus" when it's been around for ages. I think there's a small possibility this virus is being made into a bigger deal than what it is. I know people have died, but people died of pneumonia in the past. I almost died from H1N1, but 12 years ago for some reason we weren't told to wear masks and all this. It's just weird

@swandfriends Drug companies are not real big on creating vaccines because they traditionally make a lot of money like a new heart drug will. The scurrying you talk about happened because we had a full fledged pandemic, a sudden need and a ton of money to throw at it. People are just now becoming aware of the term "coronavirus" when it's been around for ages because people don't pay attention. For a long time we have been trying to come up with a generic coronavirus vaccine that will work on all corona viruses and we are closer now. There is no possibility that the virus was made into a bigger deal before it is over there will be a million americans dead because of it and by any standard that is a big deal. People die of the flu but not in these numbers, usually around 50,000 a year. H1N1 is not as infective as covid but had you been wearing a mask you likely would not have got it. Wearing masks is just a reflection of how widespread a disease is and how easy it is to contract.

@Subsumedpat The concept of mRNA vax idea has been around for decades but that does not mean the technology is safe or effective. In fact it has been tried repeatedly and failed spectacularly every time it has been tried. There is no reason to think this time will be different. If you got jabbed you became their lab rat. @Subsumedpat Wearing masks is not a sign that the disease is everywhere and serious! No logic at all there! Wearing masks is a sign of people's blind unquestioning unthinking acceptance of every pronouncement of "The Science". Nothing else.

@hippyjoe1955 Well,Fauci has said they do and then said they don't, same thing from the British witch doctor triumvirate known as Sage (though why they chose Sage and not Foolish for their title I do not know).

So if Fauci says they do and they don't, I guess that's clear guidance.

@WalterF I honestly don't need a doctor to tell me about masking. I studied mask engineering and have had training in the right choice of masks. The masks used are useless. Little more than a sad joke.

Specially when the pharmaceutical companies have said this is a first. And since it was the first they were given immunity from prosecution from all the guinea pigs.

@Subsumedpat Doctors wear masks in the hospital because they’re spit catchers and they don’t want people spitting in open wounds… It’s not about viral. When there’s a viral contaminant doctors wear a respirator’s dumb ass

@Shaveit Wrong, if you had ever been around Nurses and Doctors dealing with covid patients you would see that when they enter the room they wear the following:
N95 mask, fit-tested
Disposable Isolation gown
Gloves
Eye protection

@Subsumedpat Oh an N 95 mask does provide minimal protection which is better than none provided by what we’re mandated to wear. However you won’t see him wearing a mask like that with Ebola or something highly dangerous. They wear respirators. And the man with facial hair a N95 mask does nothing. I know a little bit about masks and respirators as I work in toxic environments sometimes. Are you trained in the use of masks and respirators. I am!

@Shaveit So about the flu vaxes that governments have been pushing for decades.... They are not approved by the FDA or what is the story here? OH and one more thing the covid vax is not approved by the FDA. It remains experimental. It is being administered under an Emergency Use Authorization BECAUSE it is NOT APPROVED. You really aren't very informed about medicine are you?

@Shaveit That is because it was done in Germany and the FDA does not approve vaccines in Germany. We already had 3 rabies vaccines with full FDA approval here in the US so the company probably did not have a motive the spend the money to go for FDA approval. The Covid MRNA vaccine is likely the first approved MRNA vaccine in the US, that does not change the fact that the first one used in humans happened in Germany in 2013. You obviously did not read the cites I gave you or you would know this instead of questioning it.
