The Quran. At least it only has one author so it stays more consistent. Not a bunch of authors with competing political/religious agendas all trying to one up each other.

@canusernamebemyusername The Torah is beautiful, and The Bible is God breathed and the purpose is to show us how he loves us and sacrifices for us over, and over, and over again.
@canusernamebemyusername Thomas Merton on "consistency"...

...the deeper question is the nature of reality itself.

Inexorable consistency. Is reality the same as consistency?

The "reality" of the world of many is of consistency, but the reality of the real world is not consistent.

The world of consistency is the world of justice, but justice is not the final word.

There is, above the consistent and logical world of justice, an inconsistent illogical world where nothing "hangs together," where justice no longer damns each to their own darkness. This inconsistent world is the realm of mercy.

@Tariki

There is no illogical inconsistent world, where nothing hangs together. There IS justice in the world, and a merciful God who created everything by the breath of his word, his name is Jesus. And the Bible tells us the beginning and the ending if we care to find out the mind of God. And he shows mercy on whom ever he desires.
[b]1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, [b]and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 [b]The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. John 1:1-5

@Carazaa Hi, a Christian theologian, George MacDonald gave a great sermon on the equivalence of mercy and justice.

Thank you
