What do you do for when it’s -20 to keep your legs warm when you have to be outside?

I’ve thermal underwear, but it’s not enough. Should I add another pair to stay warm? My coat is warm, but my legs freeze.

My ex partner used to wear joggers under his jeans.
I wear leggings under mine when it's really cold. But I'll be honest either I've not been out long enough or my fat increase is helping, or my hormones are all over the place but I can't say it's ever that cold that I'm pretty much in need of the additional layers. For countries like Canada I'm really sorry you guys are still enduring these extreme temperatures.

I live in the tropics. Only seen these Temps in the movies 😃

@WandererTony you poor poor soul. You’ll never know what true cold is like 😂
WandererTony · 56-60, M
@MrAboo we wear double legwear for anything below 10 degrees C 😃

@WandererTony some day I’ll move back to the tropics, but for now I’m bundling up!

yeah, this is gonna sound crazy, but pantyhose/tights under thermals does work.
MrAboo · 36-40, M
@SW-User don’t think I’ll try it honestly

@MrAboo there's an alternative i just remembered. silk thermals. very slimline - can be worn under traditional thermals, but you may not need them, silk works amazingly well. unlike hose/tights, they don't have the built in feet part. they make them for men and women. popular amongst skiers. a lot more expensive than hose/tights, tho
MrAboo · 36-40, M
@SW-User I’ll look into them thanks

Act like you're on sentry duty, walk a certain distance, turn and walk back and repeat.

More layers and thick socks
xSharp · 31-35, M
Yes two pairs should do it
MrAboo · 36-40, M
@xSharp I’ll try that

I used to work in all weather. Thermals are good. Layers are good. Keep your core warm, as this helps all your limbs and extremities. Don't use vibrating equipment like jackhammers, as they will damage your circulation over time.

Fahrenheit or Celsius

@NiftyWhite Ooooo. Layer up then.

@lovelywarpedlemon 🤔 I wonder how many human bodies it would take for the same results 😂
