Why do autistic adults get yelled at but not autistic children?

If an adult on the autism spectrum does something stupid and very unforgivable, would you yell at them?
I mean they should get called out like everyone else. I know most autistic people are sensitive and don’t like yelling but would you yell at them anyways. Autistic adults are like any other adults so you should cuss them out when they’re wrong. Doesn’t matter about their feelings.

Autism isn't something that is immediately visibly known, unlike other things like Down Syndrome. Most people will usually assume you're a neuro-typical and do such things. Either way, we're all subjected to the same shit, autism or not.
@SW-User So much this people who know I’m autistic are more understanding but strangers who don’t know treat me as if I’m neuro-typical

@EllieNichols It's especially harder with the blurred line for those with high functioning autism, like myself. I don't have very many tell-tale signs unless you REALLY know me. Even the professionals who've talked with me have told me "Are you sure you have autism? You're so well read/You do really well at eye contact/etc."

@SW-User People need to be more educated on autism
@SW-User I’m also high functioning my entire family is and if you really really know me you can kinda tell but not right off the bat, so most people automatically assume that I’m neuro-typical and when they do find out don’t actually believe that I’m autistic because I don’t have the same signs as those who are lower functioning

@EllieNichols I know that feeling all too well. Some people, even some friends, question it, but I see all my different signs.
@ElizabethBabe1994 More and more people are becoming aware of it, but not everyone understands.
@SW-User That’s another thing people bring up is that I have friends and maintain friendships quite well neuro-typicals should really look into the whole spectrum not just pieces of it

@EllieNichols Indeed.
