As a species we are pretty much obsessed with ourselves. We still believe everything revolves around us to greater or lesser extents

We love ourselves so much we multiply more than we can keep up with.

We create media with people and relationship as the focal point.

Heck we even plaster big faces of ourselves on gigantic billboards.

Yes, I'm trying to get out more.

1. That's not obsession with ourselves, that's just being selfish
2. Considering all the impact humans have on the nature and how we ruined it, it's not completely wrong to think we're having an influence
3. Some people can only think subjectively
