How long till we can be 100 that the vaccine is safe?

It doesn't seem as good as it was meant to be because we all have to have boosters now, apparently. If the whole thing was just to make it seem as if we were doing something useful, thats OK, but only if in a few years people DON'T start having babies born with health problems.

Novel coronavirus, novel vaccines.

Multi-dose vaccines are nothing new, nor are booster shots.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@AbbySvenz So when is the last time you were told that you needed a booster every year - no - every six months - no every 3 months to prevent a mild cold?
AbbySvenz · F
There is no vaccine against the common cold @hippyjoe1955
BittersweetPotato · 31-35, F
@hippyjoe1955 Are you calling the coronavirus a mild cold?
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@BittersweetPotato I had it. I would describe it as a very very mild cold. A few nights of sound sleep and a bit of a cough. All better in 4 days. Don't tell me you fell for the fear porn!!!!
xSharp · 31-35, M
@BittersweetPotato 25% of all colds you have ever had have been caused by a type of corona virus 🌠 @AbbySvenz
EuphoricTurtle · 41-45, M
@hippyjoe1955
prevent a mild cold?
.....that has killed over 5 million people (w/ lockdowns)

define "mild"?
xSharp · 31-35, M
@EuphoricTurtle 5 million out of?.. Its not the black plague
EuphoricTurtle · 41-45, M
@xSharp you forgot the second part 😉
5 million people (w/ lockdowns)
xSharp · 31-35, M
@EuphoricTurtle no one is chained to their couches, we still gotta eat, everyones gotta shop at the same places
EuphoricTurtle · 41-45, M
@xSharp So now that you've made it clear that 5 million deaths is negligible/ no big deal.

1. Are you vaccinated?
2. Why? (either way)
BittersweetPotato · 31-35, F
@xSharp @hippyjoe1955 Just because you survived or had it easy, doesn’t make it mild! Other people died or really struggled through it. If you are selfish enough to only care about yourself, then just say so, but don’t call it mild because you were one of the lucky ones.
xSharp · 31-35, M
@EuphoricTurtle 1. no 2. because i dont want to help create vaccine resistant strains that kill even more
AbbySvenz · F
And none of that 25% of coronavirus-induced colds have been from the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Because it is a new virus @xSharp
xSharp · 31-35, M
@AbbySvenz its always a new virus, thats what mutations do
AbbySvenz · F
Mutations create strains of the same virus, or enable zoonotic jump @xSharp
EuphoricTurtle · 41-45, M
@xSharp
1. no 2. because i dont want to help create vaccine resistant strains that kill even more
So I'm guessing NO vaccines for you AT ALL and definitely NO ANTIBIOTICS. Right?

Also, it's far better to let the virus replicate itself freely thereby increasing the chances of a mutation which is indeed vaccine resistant?
xSharp · 31-35, M
@AbbySvenz yes like a panda and a grizzly
xSharp · 31-35, M
@EuphoricTurtle it first needs a vaccine to resist, probably why ghost hunters are still so bad at their jobs
AbbySvenz · F
🤨 non sequitur much?@xSharp
xSharp · 31-35, M
@AbbySvenz different strains, different gains 😉
EuphoricTurtle · 41-45, M
@xSharp
it first needs a vaccine to resist,
You are aware vaccine resistance doesn't work like antibiotic resistance, right?
xSharp · 31-35, M
@EuphoricTurtle why dont you refresh my memory 🙂
EuphoricTurtle · 41-45, M
@xSharp Here you go buddy

xSharp · 31-35, M
@EuphoricTurtle i thought as much, the front page reads.. " kyle rittenhouse acquittal raises white privilege questions", find a few more sources please, i like to read all explanations.
EuphoricTurtle · 41-45, M
@xSharp No idea wtf you're on about buddy. These are the authors of what you just read (assuming you read it).
