Regarding weight loss, it's not important what you eat. The only thing that counts is calories; your daily calorie intake.
==> Eat and drink whatever (!) you like; enjoy your meals; look forward to your next meal. But always count to 1,600 calories a day, and then stop eating. Learn to live with a feeling of hunger, especially in the evening. Next morning your hunger will be gone.

@helenS 100% correct!!!

@Myocite Thank you. In my opinion, there is no point in all those low-carb, low-fat, low-this and low-that diets.
Another thing many people do not know is that apple juice contains as many calories as Coca-Cola.

@helenS Spot on! This is how I lost 30 lbs. MyFitnessPal helped with that.

@helenS i agree. It's all marketing.

@RopinTexan Congratulations!!! 🌷
Minus 30 lbs is a lot! What's your BMI now?
RopinTexan · 36-40, M
@helenS I’m not entirely sure. I’m 5’6” and 137 lbs.

@RopinTexan Your BMI is 22, meaning your weight is healthy and normal. Your weight should be between 56 and 72kg. Your basal metabolism will require ~ 1600 calories a day.
Congratulations.

@helenS 1600 calories isn't enough for some people ... it's dangerous for me to eat that little regardless ... exercise is important ... what you eat is important ... the types of calories are important ...
helenS · 36-40, F
@pdockal 1600 calories are required by his(*) basal metabolism = necessary calorie intake when doing nothing.

(*) considering his age, height, and weight
