What are Fraternities for?

I keep on hearing people trying to join in Fraternities and Sororities... what's so special about them, anyway? (Just Asking)

Fraternities are silly. Even the cool ones like A.'.A.'. and the Golden Dawn are silly. The only reason fraternities exist is because some people like living in an echo chamber. They want to feel validated.

They're basically just social groups for college kids. Most of them are focused on drinking and acting like douche bags trying to get laid though.

Absolutely nothing. Frat's are a bunch of knobheads who get drunk as often as possible and raise hell.
