@WendyLopez43 Yes that is why hospital professionals use BVM or bag valve masks to give breaths during CPR. Even civilian CPR is played down to just compressions while you wait for help to arrive so they are more likely to help.

@WendyLopez43 Most will have a pocket mask with one way valve to deliver breaths or just do compressions till EMS arrives.
