apparently, then again they weren't my friend and i have no idea why they figured they could trust me or when they applied the situation where i betrayed them.

How is it ever necessary? I made a promise that id never hurt my friend IN ANY WAY four years ago, and I failed. I could protect him from everything but myself. I regret it every day. NEVER betray a friend. It'll hurt you as much as them. It's never necessary.

Depends on what friend we're talking about... but I most likely have, albeit not in any major way. A lot of them have betrayed mine. It happens. All (well... almost all) is forgiven.
