What do you think about this?

Now they have plus size models, how do you feel about them advertising clothes on models the size you select?

I'm a bigger lady now. I don't exactly wear plus size but I also don't fit size 6.
It would be nice to see a lady in a size 12/14 frame in some of the clothes.
Especially since a size 6 girl isnt going to have the little belly pouch, and the lady size 18/22, isn't really where I'm at.

I think we need some middle ground here.

How do you feel about this?

I think it is just fine. Large clothes would look awfully strange on theses "heroin chic" models that seem to be popular these days.

@Oberon1 huh. Did any of you read the post?
I don't understand.
People seem to be replying with their own agenda. There was no malice or anything I was asking whether we would like to see more model across a broader spectrum large and skinny is still not good enough I'm neither large or skinny.
I'm somewhere in between as are many women. Why aren't we represented?

@Mellowgirl You must be misunderstanding what I was saying. Models should be shaped like the clothes they wear in my opinion. That is all.

@Oberon1 but that's not how clothes work...
The clothes and their style can alter, extenuate or downplay certain features of your body. Even if men say they can see your shape when a woman is in something that doesn't suit her or is ill fitting she looks untidy.

@Mellowgirl I must not be fashion conscious enough to opine. I thought those numbers on the tag helped me determine whether the clothes would fit me or not.

@Oberon1 Nope. For women's clothing, it depends where the clothing is made. If it's made in China, you have to add 3 to 4 sizes to your own size to have it fit. If it's made in India, you have to realize that all full length robes and dresses will be too short.

If it's made in Pakistan, for some reason...always the right length.

If the clothing is made in South America, it usually runs true to size.

@Oberon1 no a lot of people just buy clothes because it's in their size but if they are fashion conscious and style savvy they're able to pick pieces within a trend to suit their body.
And that's based upon the way something is cut and styled, shape and colour. It's not one for all. Even if they're trying to make it appear that way.
That's why for years black girls would complain about the mini skirt having a fuller figure and curves a shorter length has further to go to cover certain areas where as a woman with no curve in her lower back or fullness in the lower regions means the clothes just hang...

@4meAndyou it's ridiculous isn't it. Honestly it's a minefield

@Mellowgirl Years of experience needed! 🤣
