Why would any have interest talking to someone like me?
Not a lot of people like talking to me because to them I’m odd and most people don’t wanna talk to an autistic person.
Some people I’m not interested in talking to want to talk to me. One of neighbors that use to love near us LOVES talking to me. I didn’t understand why a middle age woman would have interest talking to me. She would come over sometime and knock on my door to talk to me. She talks to my older siblings when they come over but she talks to me the most. She always wondered why a young person like me preferred to stay in the house all day instead of going out with friends and enjoying life. Don’t get me wrong I like talking to her but her coming over a couple times a week to talk to me is too much. My dad doesn’t mind her doing so because to him, I always preferred to be lonesome and he doesn’t like that. He said, “Can’t you see she is happy to see you?! Don’t be so rude. Give her a hug! Jeez!!” When I was having a bad day and didn’t wanna talk to no one. He had people come over to the house to talk to me or take me out places. That’s when I was under 18. She, her husband and my dad are great friends and they clicked as soon as they met nine years ago. She would always offer to take me places when my dad needs a break or when my sister or aunts aren’t available. I had no kids my age around the neighborhood or none Wanna hang out with me because I’m autistic. They moved three years ago. Not saying I’m glad but hope they’re doing well. My dad told me she and her husband ALWAYS ask about me.
