This is going to sound very brutally blunt but is it bad that I want my own child to experience heartbreak?

I mean let’s face it, everyone is going to get their hearts broken. It’s life and we can’t avoid not getting hurt. You can’t expect to be happy all the DAMN TIME. I don’t have any children but if I had a child (children), I WANT them to at least experience heartbreak. I don’t want them to get heartbroken, but how are they going to know what pain is if they never experienced it? They need to experience pain, sadness and all that. We want them to be happy of course but they need to experience sorrow and downfall. Yes it sounds cruel and most parents are “cruel to be kind” but parents HAVE to be “cruel” to prepare kids and teens for life. You can’t be nice all the time and stop sugarcoating life.
If you never experience heartbreak then you won’t know how it feels and won’t be a stronger person. So yes, parents, i’m not trying to tell you how to parent your kids but LET THEM EXPERIENCE HEARTBREAK AND PAIN.
