Have you ever lied to protect yourself?

I lied and said my mum was at the professional fee earning level of her career when she's actually an assistant...
Because people kept trying to dig into and sabotage my life for thinking I was rich or involved in something illegal.

The only nasty thing was because I work part time it got fed back to my manager and they collectively tried to force me into full time because they thought I was living off my mum.

Funny thing is if they really knew, I'm the one that has to help my mum out financially even though she's earning a full time wage at a rate I wouldn't even if I was full time.

@Dolimyte Well people always want to know why I'm always so financially comfortable while they're scrambling.
That's none of mine or their business. Everyone dictates their pocket differently but for some reason people seem to think my business is up for discussion always. If I'm not at work it's asking what I do for work.
If I'm at work it's asking if I have another source of income.
It's nosy and rude questions.

Yes I have. A guy was obsessed with me and had been stalking me. He managed to come over when I was alone. I had to try and be normal and knot look panicked as long as I could. He was backing me up against the wall and I told him my dad would be home soon so he needed to go.

I had no idea when my dad would be home. He backed off for a minute and then pushed me against the wall. Thankfully my dad did come home and pulled him off me and told him to get lost before he beat his ass. He was scared and left and I was able to get a restraining order.

@Mellowgirl I had that happen when I was on a double decker bus in Cuba. I was an adult though. What a sick fuck that old man is. I am glad a lady noticed. I was riding a bus to visit a friend when I was 16 and a man followed me into the restroom when we were stopped. Thank goodness I was sitting beside an older lady because she saw him and went in after him and told him to get the fuck away from me.
