How do you feel about appreciation posts on here?

I always get nervous when doing those, because they can blow up into gossip pretty quickly.

They’re unnecessary, if you appreciate your friend then show them personally or tell them via DM. It’s not so much about appreciating someone as making a statement to the whole community. My friends know how much I appreciate them, I don’t need to make a public post about it

@SubstantialKick I just wonder what the motivation is…I’ve seen people make appreciation posts about some of my friends and I know they’ve barely interacted with them. Likewise people who comment on them - what’s the point? Is it just to give someone an ego boost? To try and garner popularity? I just don’t get it, I’d rather my relationships are more genuine

@SW-User Well my intention would be to let someone know that I care. It would definitely be someone who I frequently interact with though or else it would kind of awkward 😂.
