Still no love lost between Democrats and Republicans.

You would think that everything that has happened in the past 16 months would have brought us together, but nope. We've instead become even more divided. I guess some people would just prefer the latter.

It's funny because here in America at least, the ones preaching about patriotism are the ones who oppose each and every single idea that would bring us closer together. I'm not saying to agree with [b]every[/b] single one...I don't 🤷‍♀️. At some point though, something has to give.

truly. I've been all over the country and I can tell you I don't see one america.

Having spent time in Central Florida and having returned to my home up here in the pacific northwest even though CFL is moderately blue the culture out here is completely diffferent than the williamette valley.

@BetweenKittensandRiots well i am not from the usa, so a bit of an outsider perspective. to me it always seemed the usa is trying really hard to promote this feeling of unity... flags everywhere... july 4th... the constant quoting of the constitution. but to me this sounds like a unity in the mind... you really want that... but you dont feel it in your hearts

@Elena05 I am also an outsider, but the USA shows unity against an outside threat, such as what happened after 9/11. Every country has their family squabbles.

theres's a huge group of people who are laughing at us for this but... generationallly we are now skeptical of capitalism.

@Elena05 @chrisCA I've been in America since I was 3 (1981), and it does seem the times where we were the most united was in the wake of a national tragedy.
