If someone says they bought you something but they give it to someone else? 😬

If they told you they were getting you something, and then didn't give it to you? Yeah that's kind of an unnecessary letdown they're dropping on you yeah.

@KingofPizza: no it was really weird. They said they got me a gift I didn't even ask for it and they kept talking about how they were excited to give it to me. Then out of the blue today they said they gave it to someone else and I was like.....oh okay. I said it was fine because I was indifferent about the gift anyway but I did say it was a bit rude and in bad taste. They just seem completely oblivious to the fact of it being rude that's why I wanted another opinion

Ah. Yeah, that's... pretty clueless of them. Did you specifically ask them why they told you about it?
