If someone has a joint account with someone should you get permission from that person, even if that person is the primary account holder?

I’m planning to take a summer course and the payment was today so I just went on and paid it. It is $376 for one class. I know I am the primary bank owner but my dad is jointed so I feel like I should’ve got his advice first but my money though. I don’t know why I feel guilty for spending it in the money came out of my account. I have the money for it which I have no problem but I would’ve waited to pay for the class but it was due today so I had to. I don’t know why I would have permission, i’m 27 for crying out loud! I know I’m getting so anxious. Plus I’m on unemployment. Financial Aid wasn’t going to pay for the fun classes so I had to do what I have to do.
I’m jointed to my dad’s primary checking account as well because he’s the primary owner on his.

In the circumstances I would just let him know

You better let him know. I mean if it’s joint then you have to tell him and he has every right to know. You’re going to spend whatever you want you can’t do that. Tell him or he’s gonna be really mad
