Age doesn't define maturity?

What do you think?
I think it doesn't. I am a 17 year old and people say I have the mind of a 35 year old who is mature and responsible.

When you are 35, reflect on being 17, would be my advice. Boiling water takes time to soak into rice. Something right on top of you, is difficult to perceive. Some things require time, distance and perspective. Maturity is not guaranteed by age, but age is a component thereof.

yea fuckin right.... when you get to 35 youll probably look back and think 'what an immature cunt i was at 17'
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
Like you are now.
TheCoolestCat · 31-35, M
never said i was mature

@TheCoolestCat: We know.

Age does define maturity on some serious levels, not all. Maturity comes mostly from life experiences. Don't be fooled into thinking your are not still a child...that'll get you nothing but aggravation. I'm sure you are probably a mature 17 year old.
Fernie!... I think, I think...we just agreed on something 😯

Agreed. At 17 I thought I knew everything but now I realize that I know nothing.

It does to a certain extent. I wouldn't want a 5 year old to be in charge of my house haha. Other than that, I honestly think that your 35-year-old self would disagree with those people.

Good, then you can pay for your own stuff from now on like a mature 35 year old. 😂😂😂

I'm just playing... don't go all 17 year old on me!!

Age doesn't define maturity and grades don't define intelligence.

Experience usually defines maturity. While experience can come with age, it's not true to say that by definition that someone younger is less mature.

I know 40 yr olds that act 15 so I think it depends more on experience than anything..

But judgement and responsibility are important
Nah I'm in my 20's but have the maturity of a 12 year old... Something I'm proud of actually 😊😜

How can a 17 year old know more about life than a 35 year old?

yup, I am 32 but it feels like 65

Age does not define maturity.
LachrymoseLamer · 51-55, M
