Maybe ppl are going outside, trying to get vaccines, starting to do more in a year which might end decidedly better...?

@SomeMichGuy We can say this - 1/3 of the way in, it has been better than 2020 at least.

@CestManan The recent surge due to stupidity is ofc not awesome. The main culprit which has been identified is ppl wanting sports too soon, though I think "CoViD fatigue", misinformation, etc., have helped fuel this.
The odd thing is that we'll probably have about 50% of the population fully vaccinated in a few more weeks...but ppl don't seem to understand how just a bit more sticking with it can help keep the ERs & hospitals free for non-CoViD needs (which we had before all of this pandemic, ofc).
Wed. was a very beautiful day, with trees & bushes finally in full bloom, a blue sky, some small fluffly clouds, a little wind...highs unseasonably high, so shorts & T-shirt weather again.

I think that this easily explains his job approval rating going into the 60s% and kas of a few weeks ago) into the 70s%. You don't just see those numbers, and Trump NEVER did.
