@DeluxedEdition I don’t know but they own a lot houses and land and have staff all over. They don’t do anything in this point of time. They have no purpose and don’t make any decisions about the government. It’s time to dump them.
@Keepitsimple The Royal Family own land just as other landowners, and they pay tax on the revenue just like other landowners. Having a Royal Family with the associated pageantry attracts significant tourism, particularly from countries who don’t have a monarch. So there is no cost, there is income.

@DeluxedEdition They own land and receive revenue from the way that land it utilised, the Duchy of Cornwall, owned by the Prince of Wales, is organic agriculture in the main. The produce is sold and tax paid on the revenue. That’s just one example. The tourism in London is increased significantly by having a Royal Family and the associated activities, Trooping of The Colour, Changing of The Guard etc. Studies have put the extra revenue in terms of millions of pounds a year. The 54 countries in the commonwealth are the most diverse economies and the largest group in the world. That grouping is held together by the diplomacy and skill of the monarch
Calling Charles a pussy is an insult to all the pussies like Jeff Flake and Jeb Bush out there. We haven’t seen enough of William yet to judge him. Not that I follow the royals, but it seems to me that with Charles being whatever he is and the Queen and Philip aging William is already the de facto leader.
