@Nanori Clean people don't have them, and if you are in an apartment and see one, report it to your landlord. He or she should check the other tenants to find the source, I agree, they are dirty-looking and carry disease, but you root them out and you'll have no problem.

@Nanori People who don't keep a clean living enviroment and leave crumbs all over their house or wash their dishes attract them. I don't know if you ever heard about Patty Hearst (the kidnapped heiress) but at one point she was living with her abductors in a dirty apartment with open and half-empty food containers. They had roaches in that apartment and the housekeeper for a disabled lady one floor below complained about them swarming down the walls into that apartment. Open and spoiled food breeds all sorts of bugs - not just roaches.

@Nanori a scorpion climbed up my leg one time underneath my jeans leg. I had lost a lot of weight and they were so loose that the scorpion got up to my knee. I thought it was a stinging red ant so I carefully took my jeans off and there was a scorpion. I did a screaming dance
