Huh?!
I play guitar but I don’t understand the question
Davemcdave · 46-50, M
@SW-User example i think a acoustic guitar player is probably a sensitive soul where as an electric guitarist a bit more extroverted a show off.
SW-User
@Davemcdave i fully disagree
I play both, extensively and am a strong introvert
Davemcdave · 46-50, M
@SW-User matter of opinion. I don't see why people jump down others throats for an opinion when its not the holy grail.
SW-User
@Davemcdave wasn’t jumping down anyone’s throat.
I was stating fact based on me and other musicians I know
Davemcdave · 46-50, M
@SW-User but its not a fact, this is your experience, but not a known fact. you basically started your response with you disagree implying my comment was hog wash, because you and a handful of others aren't like what I described.
You're allowed to have a differing opinion but to come over as if your word is the gospel is off. There are other opinions here about other instruments, do you have facts for them too?

@SW-User i edited my response because it didnt make sense
SW-User
@Davemcdave and I’ll reply accordingly as you seem to be very combative on this.
Yes, your “opinion” is hog wash because it wasn’t an opinion. You were stereotyping thus generalizing.
Therefore my opinion, based on me and others, are in fact.. fact
I wasn’t implying gospel whatsoever. I was conveying that not every guitarist is as you initially generalized.
Davemcdave · 46-50, M
@SW-User "I think" that isn't stereotyping anyone. its my thoughts on what I think. I have no experience with a guitarist or a bassist nor do I know anyone that has ever had this kind of conversation. you didn't understand so I gave you and an example of what I thought. it obviously hit a raw nerve because unbeknownst to me you play both instruments, and you thought you could embarrass me for a question you clearly thought was irrelevant because...?
I don't see anyone else having and issue with this like you but as mentioned, hit a raw nerve!
SW-User
@Davemcdave not in the least
You made an assertion. And it’s perspective or guess even, is skewed
And most definitely incorrect and not an across the board opinion applicability
Davemcdave · 46-50, M
@SW-User are opinions only formed based upon general opinion?
I thought the whole point of having your own opinion is because its your own.
this isn't Facebook or Instagram where you like something for likes and popularity.
SW-User
@Davemcdave and I didn’t agree with your opinion which is MY opinion.
😉👍🏻
Davemcdave · 46-50, M
@SW-User and you baited me to giving my own simply because you didn't have one of your own, and decided to attack me for having one. which was a very cowardly thing to do.
perhaps in the future you should consider a question before you answer instead of asking for a point of reference and rushing to anger first simply because it isn't in line with what you think.
differing opinions can coincide without war.
Time and maturity will teach you that.
playing an instrument is a wonderful thing and much like any hobby is a great why to express yourself, your emotions, hide behind or help you to come out and show who you truly are.
instruments are an extension of the person.
your opinion wasn't to disagree with me your opinion was-
"I play both, extensively and am a strong introvert"
