when you think of an instrument what does it make you think of the type of person that would play it?

SW-User
Huh?!
I play guitar but I don’t understand the question
Davemcdave · 46-50, M
@SW-User are opinions only formed based upon general opinion?
I thought the whole point of having your own opinion is because its your own.
this isn't Facebook or Instagram where you like something for likes and popularity.
SW-User
@Davemcdave and I didn’t agree with your opinion which is MY opinion.
😉👍🏻
Davemcdave · 46-50, M
@SW-User and you baited me to giving my own simply because you didn't have one of your own, and decided to attack me for having one. which was a very cowardly thing to do.
perhaps in the future you should consider a question before you answer instead of asking for a point of reference and rushing to anger first simply because it isn't in line with what you think.
differing opinions can coincide without war.
Time and maturity will teach you that.
playing an instrument is a wonderful thing and much like any hobby is a great why to express yourself, your emotions, hide behind or help you to come out and show who you truly are.
instruments are an extension of the person.
your opinion wasn't to disagree with me your opinion was-
"I play both, extensively and am a strong introvert"
What about a trumpet? I can play it. what does that mean about me or someone that plays it?
Davemcdave · 46-50, M
@Indy74 I look forward to hearing what you have to share with us.
Indy74 · 46-50, F
@Davemcdave I sure will my friend.🤗

Saxophones are sexy so I imagine them good in bed.
You must not play an instrument because any one who does, knows it’s more of a way to express ,your feelings through music and you shouldn’t make an assumption, about a person based off something so silly.
Davemcdave · 46-50, M
@SweetNSassy and what instrument do you play?
It seems there are some very sensitive people here.
Coming at my throat with a knife type of people. Why would a question cause such aggression I don't know.
as you stated its a way to express your feelings so the possibilities are endless.
there's no right or wrong answer according to you.
@Davemcdave you missed my point and I’m not going to continue going back and forth with this. Best of wishes

I'd think them having both the innate ability to learn it, and the dedication and determination to do so.

I don't ascribe particular instruments to particular character traits.
Davemcdave · 46-50, M
@ArishMell perhaps you're right maybe it's the genre. Who knows but it really wasn't that big a deal, I asked as a lot of questions seemed pretty similar.
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@Davemcdave I think you're right there, about similar questions!
Davemcdave · 46-50, M
@ArishMell ohwell...
Certain instruments, more than others, are commonly associated with a particular persona.

Sax, piano, bass, drums, etc.
Davemcdave · 46-50, M
@SethGreene531 whats that then??? the persona?
@Davemcdave Well, what image does a sax solo conjure for you?? Someone a little dark and mysterious, somewhat brooding, with a magnetic draw on all who enter his sphere ?

Which may, or may not be a simple façade, intended for the spotlight.
Davemcdave · 46-50, M
@SethGreene531 I have no idea is that the image that comes to your mind?
caesar7 · 61-69, M
