Question about paying charges to get more google storage

At 2$ they give 100 GB every month.
So .... if I just pay the 2$ stock up the storage....
And..... if i dont pay next month would i lose all that memory even though I paid for the first month?

If you do not pay, after some warnings, there will be a certain period of time for you to download your data. When that time period is over, your account will be closed, storage volume will be reclaimed by the company, and your data will be gone for good.
PS: It's not that you bought the storage volume by paying $2 in the first month; it's more like renting it.

Start being self dependent as if there were no google

@JonathanSJ I think renting storage volume on an external server is a good idea. There are many providers; I would always recommend to support a small local company.

@helenS my external hard drive of 6 TB should do that. And yes, I appreciate you looking at local companies because you would not let these cheap companies controlling what you do. You see, slowly and steadily they are invading you. Yesterday, some guy was asking why Facebook is asking my blood Group and all?
I say you don't need a Facebook account. Someone else should do all that survey and all. Why we provide it to Facebook?

This is intrusion.

@JonathanSJ Yes of course, if it's only about a data backup, one or two external drives are what you want.
I need an external server mainly because I have lots of cgi scripts running on it. I prefer small companies because if there is any problem there will be someone on the phone to help me. They even installed software for me (some Perl packages).

they probably won't erase any information but they will definitely lock it. Just get a hard-drive. I recommend WD my passport, I've got a 2 TB one but you can go smaller, they're cheap and reliable.

@MartinTheFirst but... it's difficult to transfer photos from the phone to the hard drive right?
