Why does my mom insist on repeating things I don't care about?

Yesterday she told me twice about how the people across from us have a new baby. I said ok cool. She mentioned it again last night and I was like ok....

She just brought it up again today and I said yeah you told me yesterday and now apparently I'm rude and have a attitude.

I don't care about them or their baby. You already told me twice yesterday and I didn't care then and I dont care now. Holy crap
