SW users who hide your age...is there any particular reason you do it?

I don't hide my age. I'm 75.
But after I posted my age, I got a lot of perv messages from guys who had a thing for old ladies. On here, anything you post about yourself becomes stimulation for pervs who are into whatever you post about yourself. I also get messages from people who, because I was a teacher (before I retired), ask me, "Did you paddle your students?" And other similar questions.
