My cat has come back after todays hunt, hes tired..

He eats one scoop of butter from me early morning, then by 8 o clock he goes to the forest to hunt for lizards, by 4 pm he is back to hunt for rats, evening 7 pm he eats another scoop of butter and falls asleep by 8.
Domestic cats kill as many as 4 million songbirds, rabbits, quail and other small animals a year when owners let them go free to hunt and kill whatever they come across naturally.

@anythingoes477 Yes thats what i do.Its not entirely domestic, it was a feral cat, but has become domesticated.I dint stop his hunting patterns.
@jhontomreturns1 Good you don't live near me. When I see a feral cat...it's dead. I dead cat for maybe 10,000+ other animals one kills in their lifetime......equal trade.

Cats can get fat collecting around their liver, you should replace that butter with something lower in fat.
Cute kitters.🤗

@UnderLockDown really dint know that..ohk.I will.Thank you
@jhontomreturns1 I was giving my cat lots of fat too, until I found that it can cause problems.😇 It's hard not to spoil them. I switched to a little lactose free milk every morning. My cat seems to be ok with kefir or yogurt too, but I'm not sure if that's true for all cats.

I hope your cat lives a long happy life and keeps your house free of rodents.😊😸

@UnderLockDown haha, maybe there is a difference in village cats, his hunting range is like easily 500 mts to 1km.I guess, hes expending the fat.Thank you

What a life. Why butter not milk or cat food?
jhontomreturns1 · 36-40, M
@REMsleep because hes not a house cat, hes a village cat.Hes gets his proteins from hunting.

@jhontomreturns1 Ok. Just never heard of giving a cat butter. Learned something new. He must like it.
jhontomreturns1 · 36-40, M
@REMsleep yes, just basic survival fat, same for all both, cats and humans.
