A user on here says America would fold without Californias economy. What are your thoughts? Does Californias economy prop up the rest of the country?

I don't live in the USA. I cannot say. But it surprised me to even think of one less star on the flag, even though California alone would be much bigger than my little country.

@Blodyn we would keep northern California so no star change.

@MasterLee I had no idea California was thinking of leaving, yet the UK is leaving the EU and many in my country would like to leave the UK. Personally I like to think of the UK as a loose union of separate countries. The Senedd has shown that during the pandemic. If there were a referendum I would vote to stay in the UK as it is now. But not as it was when my teachers in school were jailed for pulling down English road signs. Sometimes direct action is needed when polite letters make no difference.
