Why are so many men messaging me? This never happened to me before?
It’s like since I turned 18, a couple men are messaging me. I told them I’m seeing someone. I’m still a teenager! What older man wants to go out with a teenager?

It's possible they had a filter to block out non-adults. At 18 you're an adult. Some men do not care as long as you're an adult.
