Well done to all the twats protesting against lockdown restrictions in london

Do you not know that the restrictions will last for longer if you are going to go out spreading it. I mean you won’t have any freedom when you’re dead lol Or how would you feel if you found out you were responsible for one of your close relative’s death?
And humans believe they aren’t primitive! 🤷🏻‍♂️

in the uk only 300 have died since February that haven't had underlying health issues..the whole country have to abide by rules to protect a few?
I'm not underplaying the deaths and poor souls that have suffered but seriously this has been managed so badly. I'm not surprised people are protesting. The 45,000 uk reported deaths are hugely overstated...why oh why if someone has a heart attack but have a trace of covid are reported as a covid death?
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@SW-User And no lockdowns for tuberculosis. Which is spread the same way.
Miram · 31-35, F
@SW-User COVID-19–related myocarditis can cause heart attacks, same for thrombosis obviously and many other presentations that can mean the Heart attack is caused by COVID-19.

People should protect themselves regardless of the number of deaths. It is an extremely low price. I don't understand why it's such a problem.

@Miram selfishness

@SW-User the point is that those with underlying health conditions are at higher risk of dying if they contract Covid. I appreciate if you are fit and healthy that you aren’t concerned for your life but other ppl are petrified because you lot are spreading it. Why wouldn’t you be worried if you were then or more importantly why don’t you care?
SW-User
@Miram I don't believe what I'm being told anymore, I'm not saying covid isn't real, I know it is. I know 3 people who have had it (all ok) I really don't think, other than us all being careful, washing hands, keeping distance etc that we need to fuck up our economy for this.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@Miram Why is is so hard to stay 6 feet away from me?
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@JovialPlutonian Why weren’t there lockdowns for tuberculosis?
revenant · F
@JovialPlutonian Then those who are likely to be affected should take their precautions and let the healthy live their lives
SW-User
@JovialPlutonian I haven't said I don't care...those with underlying conditions should be looked after..this should have happened from the start. I'm not spreading anything, I'm careful and I haven't protested. I can understand those that are as they're sick of the bullshit.
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
@SW-User the bs that they have to stay in because the infection rate has gone up because some people are being complacent?
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@JovialPlutonian the BS of no lockdown over tuberculosis
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
@MrBrownstone we have a vaccine for TB, did you forget they made everyone of us take it? it’s called your BCG, you know that one we all took in school
SW-User
@JovialPlutonian "you lot"

It's not worth listening to you...you carry on and act like sheep. I'll carry on being careful and watching my pension disappear.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@JovialPlutonian not everyone takes it
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
@SW-User I’m generalising chill out. It’s just frustrating that you can have a valid point and someone just jumps in to discredit it.
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
@MrBrownstone who’s fault is that?
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
@MrBrownstone Don’t they have any common sense?
SW-User
@JovialPlutonian I'm perfectly chilled. More people are dying of Cancer, do they not matter? They are not getting the treatment they deserve because of covid..covid has overtaken everything. Should it?
No, not in my opinion.
Miram · 31-35, F
@SW-User

They are not getting the treatment they deserve because of covid..covid has overtaken everything. Should it?

That's not true. Their inability to get treatment is not a direct result of a lockdown. It could be the opposite when the healthcare system is overwhelmed in any given country.

Despite all the talks about the economy, the pandemic showed that the NHS was way underfunded, as many other systems in the world. It should have been a priority to face this pandemic well, it was neglected for years. And now finally it is receiving enough attention.

I am Covid-19 positive. As a frontline healthcare worker my risk of exposure is times three compared to you.

It's not "okay ". I would classify my case as mild and yet there will be long term consequences on my heart health.

I completely agree with closing public spaces like pubs and clubs, when monitoring their policies is not possible.

The virus can survive up to three hours in air there and you can all just breathe it in, even if you distance personally.

As a citizen, you can only control yourself. Top-down regulations became necessary because of all the misinformation and those who insist to compare it with illnesses that will not and did not impair your healthcare systems. Trivializing it.

These lockdowns are at best inconsistent in my opinion, but they should have been implemented since the beginning.

What we are seeing today is politicians trying to appeal to their voters' base and those sponsoring them, too cowardly to make decisions that are controversial among those unfamiliar with the illness.

We are also seeing the consequences of 50/50 approach and trusting the public to act responsible without consequences.
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
@SW-User of course they do but we have no control over this virus yet. If we had a vaccine we would have no reason for lockdown
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
@Miram underfunded because we invest too much in the private sector! I wish you well x
SW-User
@Miram the biggest issue I see is the amount of people we know who have covid or have had it..it's so minimal yet it's being treated like the end of the world. I'm to be conviced it's anywhere near as bad as people are being told.
Miram · 31-35, F
@SW-User

I wish i can say you are lucky for not having to find out how wrong you are, but I am afraid in this situation that'd never apply.

It's not the end of the world, it still needs lockdowns.

Stay safe, money should come second to your health.

@JovialPlutonian Hopefully this experience will change future measures once and for all.
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
@SW-User mate that’s fine but until we have a vaccine ppl are dying from it. Why don’t their lives matter because it’s a small percentage, they still dont want you going round spreading it. Why are their deaths not important enough for you?
SW-User
@JovialPlutonian I love our NHS but the reality is it wastes money in a huge way..underfunded yes, but it needs better management too.
