Birth control/abortion

Why does it seems less of us want to go on birth control nowadays? In my eyes swallowing a pill is alot better than going through with an abortion.

Dud the birth control and still needed an abortion. And incase you're wondering why, I took the pills as recommended they just didn't agree with me I had tons of issues with them, I fell pregnant when I changed the type of pill I was taking. What was previously preventing my heavy flow suddenly was no longer doing this also I was bleeding at times I wasn't supposed to. Hormones mess me up.
I've have had other partners and tried different methods. The best solution is less sex and condoms.
I try not to judge others... Sometimes things aren't always so straightforward

@Peppa I don't understand why people are so opposed to condoms. They work just fine for so many people and even if there is an accident there's still an after pill option.

@CrazyMusicLover I think people gage trust issues. So taking a pill avd going without a condom offers you the trust that you are exclusive. You get the perks without the scare. But I personally think its better for the guy to take responsibility in that area. It shows me he actually cares about me and my well being.
Especially after I explain my struggle.
I dunno any guy that shows up unprepared is a no no.
Any guy that becomes annoyed or questions me for having condoms is also a no no.

I have no problems with birth control pills. But as everyone’s saying they have some negative side effects. I used to take them in the past and during the time I was taking them, I had suicidal thoughts almost every day, and would cry at least 5 days a week. As soon as I stopped taking them , the suicidal thoughts were gone . Probably there is some right birth control for me , but it takes a while for a woman to find the best choice. A lot of experimentation. Some are lucky to find the right one in the first attempt.

@SW-User I went through this, I really don't recommend birth control without a thorough examination. And hormone screening. I couldn't take some due to migraines. Ugh! As written above I started taking them due to heavy bleeding and acne. But it did nothing to help really. They needed to do further tests, and it turned out I have pcos. This is a nightmare.
Speaking from my own experience, I used birth control due to ovarian cysts. Four different ones, each causing negative side effects. The last one that made me give up completely was that it gave my skin (all over, especially my face) terrible rashes and red rough patches of dry skin.

Birth control can also make mental health issues worse, like depression. And as a former anorexic, the weight gain really fucked with my head.

@TexChik @DukeOfEarle What logic? Fetuses are not yet children.
TexChik · F
@ViciDraco pffft ! Libs can’t kill enough children to ever be satisfied

@ViciDraco A human life begins when a human sperm fertilizes a human egg. That is a self contained life beginning its life cycle which includes 9 months inside its mother's womb. The location of the life or the way the life is sustained does not diminish the life in any way.

people don't want the other shit that is in those pills
MrsAubrey · 46-50, F
@Jackaloftheazuresand what in them is bad?
Jackaloftheazuresand · 26-30, M
@MrsAubrey I can't say as I'm not a pharmacy specialist but they come with side effects
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@MrsAubrey I took them to reach hormonal balance, not as a contraceptive but they were messing with my immune system. Since I quit them I no longer suffer from candida overgrowth. I heard some women risk blood clotting while on BCP so taking them without a thorough exam might be dangerous.

There have always been a certain number of people who react badly to the hormones. You’re right that birth control is preferable (and easier) than having to terminate a pregnancy. Condoms are highly effective, but there’s pushback on that, too. Some people don’t want to accept that being sexually active involves responsibilities.

Many of the so-called pro lifers don’t even want to learn about birth control
MrsAubrey · 46-50, F
@Rpfun78 lol I think everyone knows about birth control by now
Rpfun78 · 61-69, M
But many people don’t believe in it.@MrsAubrey

Absolutely agree!

I love babies 🤗
it depends on the type of birth control. Many women are choosing the coil of the pill but it is not available as easily around the world.
MrsAubrey · 46-50, F
@InOtterWords but that's not really great if you want kids... Let's just say you want to wait until your late 20s and married
@MrsAubrey then it is better than pumping your body full of hormones.

Birth control makes me sick.
MrsAubrey · 46-50, F
@SkeetSkeet Do you use anything?
