Why are doctors such meanies? They have no filter!

A couple weeks ago when my doctor saw my weight when it says “251” on the scale. Her smile faded away. She got in my face BIG time and scolded at me, “You are 251 pounds, you are not following the weight loss plan I gave you months ago. Also your picking is out of control and damn it, you are at the borderline of diabeties!!”
I was shocked. She was so rude to get into my face. I said, “Diabetes? No! I think I’m healthy. Most people are average.”
She said, “NO. To put it bluntly, you’re fat.”
Wow rude. Then I said, “Wow that...that was harsh. Everyone is average!”
Then she shot back at me and said, “That’s because those people are fat and lazy! Unless you want your family to plan your funeral soon, I suggest you follow the weight loss plan! Don’t argue with me!”
That shut me up. My aunt was so mad at me for now following the doctors orders and she said the doctor is right. And she gave me a blunt lecture. Why are doctors assholes? Excuse my language I’m sorry.

Because they can see what you can't. They know what's going wrong inside your body and they just want you to be healthy.

@meaningseeker Yeah well she didn’t have to get in my face! It’s RUDE!

@LaylaTheTallGirl She must have been nice to you when she gave you that diet plan. You didn't follow it and she got mad. That's it.
Her reaction shows that she cares. People who bluntly tell you what's good for you are far more better than people who are nice to you in person and make fun of you as soon as you leave. Beware of that breed.

@LaylaTheTallGirl You're having a meltdown because you don't want to accept the fact that your behaviours must change in order to save your life.

It's natural to enjoy eating. But it is not natural to enjoy eating to the point of morbid obesity and diabetes. When someone eats too much to that degree it is a medical and a psychological problem.

If it's not treated, it will lead to death, and the journey will be a painful one.

It is not mean to tell the truth.

Having tantrums about it will not change how others behave.
The people who love you will continue to tell you the truth.

If you accept it and decide to follow the diet and the doctors advice, others will give you all the help they can.

@LaylaTheTallGirl I'm sorry if you felt that way. Honey, I have no problem with your weight. Every individual is beautiful and there should be no need to change ourselves, no matter what others think, as long as we're healthy. But this is about your health. Take your time but take it seriously. I wish you good luck in your transformation journey. You got this!
